Ruby & Ariel - Music Therapy Dogs

Obviously, the cutest, friendliest creatures out there, Ruby and Ariel are sisters and a cheerful 8 years old... even though they were puppies only yesterday.

Here they are, waiting to greet my friends.

You may be asking yourself, What exactly IS a music therapy dog?

It's a complex job description.

Basics:
- cuddles
- longing looks through blond eyelashes
- wagging tails upon your arrival

Advanced:
- Ariel will hold your hand
- Ruby will actually hug you

All of this with music in the background provides patients with a sense of calm and well-being. I often provide snacks as well, both for you and for the dogs.

What they're up to

Our hearts go out to all those affected by the recent hurricanes, Harvey and Irma. While we can't be in TX or FL, the girls stand ready to offer comfort to anyone near who needs it. All you have to do is drop by.

Right now, they are specializing in eating as much of the mulch we just put down as possible.

Special thanks to our good friend Dr. Lisa at Morristown Animal Hospital for her loving care and to Peter at K-9 Mobile Pet Groomers for treating them so well every month.

When you come by for your appointment, be sure to bring a goodie ("tip") for the therapists. They are particularly fond of carrots. (Don't worry if you forget them at home or just don't have any; we usually have plenty.)
